Usana have gained recognition as one of the leading companies in the industry, having produced popular products for the last seventeen years.
Are Usana scam?
No, would be the answer. Their products are given raving reviews by users, some of whom are top athletes. It seems every week that a new magic juice is released to the market, with the company only to fade away after a short period of time. History shows that this is not the case with Usana.
Most of Usanas distributors speak very highly of the company, even the ones that are not making a lot of money. No one can argue against the fact that the comp plan is very generous, with forty five cents of every dollar being paid back to the distributor network. They operate on a very robust binary system, while this wouldn't be my own personal choice of compensation plan; it has the potential to make the savvy network marketer rich.
New network marketers can sometimes be mis-informed with this type of compensation plan. Because of the possibility of 'spillover' commissions, whereby you would receive a share of commissions from people you didn't even recruit, some new to MLM can be persuaded to join for this sole reason. Nothing bad about this, but you do need to have an equal volume on both sides of your organisation in order to get the spillover payments, this isn't always made clear. You can't just make money out of thin air in a binary!
Usana have been credited with many awards and they are also in full agreement with FTC guidelines regarding the MLM industry. They have set a high standard in the network marketing industry that all should aspire to.
There is still a lot of uneasiness for many people surrounding the MLM industry, most of which is rooted in the Ponzi & Pyramid schemes of a few years ago. Of course this has a knock on effect for many companies in the MLM field. I still believe that MLM is one of the very few business models that almost anyone can build a profitable business from home, even if they don't have previous business experience.

It's safe to say the Usana is definitely not a scam when you take into consideration their products and testimonies from associates, not to mention their track record. It would be a wise move in my opinion to partner with Usana. It's always remembering though that the nutrition market is already saturated with all kinds of products making every claim under the sun, and there are a lot of products out there that are more geared to getting customers money, rather than providing any real benefits. So you will need to come up with a marketing plan that will efficiently cut through the 'noise'
